WASTE COLLECTION AND RECYCLING

Wiltshire Council is in the process of conducting a consultation on waste recycling and is keen to hear the views of residents.  The proposal recognises the residents want a wider range of materials to be collected for recycling to help them manage their waste when it is collected every 2 weeks.

The existing black box recycling collection will be complemented by a kerbside collection of plastic bottles and cardboard and a non chargeable optional collection of garden waste every 2 weeks.

Please write to The Director, Dept of Neighbourhood and Planning, Wiltshire Council, County Hall, Trowbridge, Wilts BA14 8JN and mark your letter “Waste Consultation” in support of this proposal or complete the survey online at www.wiltshire.gov.uk/waste or email wasteconsultation@wiltshire.gov.uk

PARISH COUNCIL NEWS

 

The next Parish Council meeting will be held on Wednesday July 21^st 2010 at 7.30 pm in the Village Hall.  If you have any items for the agenda please inform the Clerk (Marilyn Martin 731521) by Wednesday 14^th July.

 

RECYCLING SKIPS FOR PLASTIC AND CARDBOARD

 

The next date for recycling skips or lorry is Tuesday 13^th July 2010 between 08.00 and 10.30.  The other dates for the year 2010/2011 are 16^th November and 8^th March.  I am negotiating with Wiltshire Council for further dates in the 2011/2012 financial year and will endeavour to request a more frequent service.
