Dodecantus in Broad Hinton

 

On Friday 11 December, villagers were treated to an evening of seasonal music, food and cheer to get us in the festive spirit.  The Chamber Choir “Dodecantus” sang a selection of carols, joined by members of the Broad Hinton Amateur Dramatics Society who complemented the singing with Christmas readings.  We all enjoyed a delicious meal, washed down with mulled wine.  The event was the first of its kind in our new village hall and gave us all an uplifting start to the festive season.  We have invited the choir back for more of the same in 2010!

 

Future concerts from Dodecantus are scheduled for Saturday 8th May and Friday 14th May (venues to be confirmed). The programme will be:

Durufle's Requiem, Purcell's Funeral Music for Queen Mary, Poulenc's Quatre Motets pour un temps de penitince
