As part of our continued fund raising activities to help us pay off the loan for the New Village Hall we introduced the New Village Hall 200-Club. The following details how the club works.
The objective of the Club is to sell a set number of tickets, which are drawn from each month. The committee has set a target of selling 200 tickets, hence the name the 200 Club; these tickets will cost £10 each and will be valid for a period of 10 months. Individuals can buy as many tickets as they like. The aim is to sell all 200 tickets before the 1st January each year, after this date no more tickets are sold and the same 200 tickets are used for each draw each month.
Starting in January 2010 a draw will take place each month, for 10 months. Every month each individual that has a ticket will stand a chance of winning a cash prize. So your ticket has a 1 in 200 chance of winning each month, and the overall cost for each draw works out at £1.00 per ticket (£10/10 months). You could win three months in a row, or a number of times each year, your chances of winning will be the same each month. The cash raised from the sale of the tickets will be distributed as follows; these figures are based on selling 200 tickets:
Total revenue raised = £2000 (200 x £10) Funds allocated for new hall £1000 Funds allocated for cash prices £1000
Cash prizes each month will be as follows:
One Prize of £50 Two prizes of £20 One prize of £10
Total prizes per month £100, for 10 months, total £1000.
The draws will be made by the Village Hall committee each month, and will always be drawn with at least four people present. The winning ticket number, name of the individual and how much has been won will be advertised in the local village news each month and on the Broad Hinton Village Hall web site.
At the end of the 10 month period, you can either buy your tickets again for another 10 month period starting in January 2011, or opt not to.
Tickets will go on sale NOW! You do not have to live in the village to buy these tickets, friends and family or anyone you know are able to buy tickets if they wish.
